Barba has therefore been pursuing a Quality & Sustainable Development policy for many years: installing solar panels on production sites, working to reduce waste and disposal, sorting the packaging as a co-product from the fish waste.
The company has also set up an internal quality laboratory to ensure the analyses and marketing of healthy, safe and compliant products.
Our factory has been MSC certified since 2016.

«Thon Rouge de Ligne, pêche artisanale» is a collective mark that certifying that bluefin tuna is handline caught by artisanal fishermen on vessels flying the French flag. Wild, traceable, sustainable: the blue fish label is only applied to wild fish or seafood from fisheries that have been certified to the MSC Fisheries Standard, a science-based set of requirements for sustainable fishing.
A certified sustainable source: Each MSC certified fishery has been independently assessed on its specific impacts to wild fish populations and the ecosystems they’re part of.
Handled with care: All along the supply chain, from ocean to plate, MSC certified fish and seafood is separated from non-certified. It is clearly labelled so it can be traced to a certified sustainable fishery.
